Written by Editorial staff | August 9, 2024

Electra Mining Africa, the largest trade show in Southern Africa dedicated to the mining, drilling, and automation sectors, will be held at the Johannesburg Expo Centre from September 2 to 6, 2024. This event represents a true driving force for the growth of a continent rich in opportunities.

Participation of Autec and AJM Radio & Control

We are pleased to announce our participation, together with our main distribution partner AJM Radio & Control. You will find our sales' team representative supporting AJM Radio & Control, considered one of the main players in South Africa for the supply and servicing of Cableless Control Systems. At Booth B32 in Pavilion 5, we will showcase a range of radio remote controls specifically engineered and designed for the mining and drilling sectors.

AUTEC Solutions

We have selected various models' sizes from Compact (JC), Link (JN), to Curve (JQ) belly packs, all configured for mining applications. However, the main focus will be on the portable station Big (JB) , AUTEC largest and most comprehensive belly pack format that our customers select for drilling operations. In particular, the model on display will be featuring a 7-inch display and the VFM camera system.

The Video Feedback Module (VFM) is the system developed by AUTEC that allow to wirelessly rig up to four cameras installed on industrial machines to display their feeds on the Portable Station's display. Among its many features, overlapping is one of the key add-ons which allows alarms and warnings to be superimposed directly on the images transmitted by the cameras, thereby enhancing safety and operational responsiveness.

The Kit Wireless System (KWS)

At the trade show, you will have the opportunity to review the new Kit Wireless System (KWS), a modular command system that enables wireless connections for transferring information or commands between different points of the same machine or between two distinct machines, ensuring maximum safety and reliability. The system is user-friendly, requires no programming, and allows the management of up to 42 digital commands and 6 analog commands. It is highly modular and enables the customization of the electrical interface for connection to drills and other mining equipment.
